OPTICRON IS 60 /45° FIELDSCOPES
The IS series fieldscopes are designed and built to provide new levels of performance & versatility in an amazingly compact & lightweight body. Available in 50mm and 60mm OG formats with the option of straight-through and 45 degree bodies, IS fieldscopes are produced using lightweight compound materials and feature high performance 4 element fully multi-coated objectives, BAK7 fully multi-coated prisms and internal focusing.

OPTICRON IS 60 /45° EYEPIECE OPTIONS

A wide range of eyepieces are available for use with Classic Fieldscopes. Choosing the best eyepiece is often confusing but making the right choice will depend on price and application. It is important to remember that the eyepiece is an integral part of the whole set-up and opting for a lower quality lens will make a difference to the overall image quality derived from the fieldscope

HDF Eyepieces [Note. Eyepiece adapters are required to fit HDF eyepiece to IS bodies. These are supplied 'Free of Charge' if purchased with a new scope body or priced at £3.00 inc. VAT if purchased separately.
Use 40927S adapter to fit 40862S and 40872S HDF collar thread eyepieces.
Use 40925S adapter to fit all other HDF internal screw thread eyepieces. ]

The preferred choice for quality and viewing comfort, HDF eyepieces have large dia. eyelenses and provide 'walk-in' field of vision. All eyepieces feature long eyerelief for full field of view with or without spectacles and fixed magnification models are wide angle.

Good choice as either supplementary eyepiece in combination with HDF or single eyepiece for the value conscious.
Eyepieces 40813C,40815C offer full field of view with spectacles but high power models including 40821 zoom do not.

  PHOTOADAPTER PHOTOGRAPHY

IS Telescopes can easily be converted into a long focal length telephoto lens
for photography using an SLR camera.

To convert the instrument you will need:
- 40215S Photoadapter          Price incl. VAT £  65.00

- 40927S Near focus Adapter   Price incl. VAT £  3.00

- Equivalent focal lengths using the Telephoto adapter are:
585mm/f.11.7 in IS 50
700mm/f.11.7 in IS 60



To connect your camera to the Photoadapter:

- Suitable T2 mount             Price incl. VAT £10.00

To convert the instrument to a telephoto lens screw the internal thread of 40215I onto 40927S adapter ring. Secondly screw the combination onto the ‘eyepiece end’ of the main body. Attach appropriate T mount to external threaded end of Telephoto adapter and then attach SLR camera body onto T mount.
Note. If you find the camera is at an odd angle when attached - adjust the Telephoto adapter or twin rings on the T mount to bring the camera into line.
For best results we recommend you use 400 or 800 ASA rated film and a cable release.
